Holy double-buckled embellishment Batman! Heads up kids, there's a whole new playing ground for the old faithful backpack. Trend
setting its way through to this a/ w, and this time its far too cool for
school. Less a means of carrying squished sandwiches, P.E kit and reading books
(the days when any Argos fix would do); now it's crucial that we find a style
to back, one that suits many an outfit, many an occasion.
Let's be honest here, backpack requirements are actually not so different.
It must have fashion holding power yes, but also carry my kindle, quinoa salad
lunchbox (on budget slash healthy work week) and yoga kit. Plus the
obligatory makeup, phone, purse and hoards of shit that amount to my daily
baggage. All essentials of course.
First off I am still mad (with self) after spying a beautiful leather Label
Lab backpack last week, in the sale, and not getting it. At £60 (practically
give away) I am still clueless as to why I didn't snap it up and pull it on
all smug and mega stylish. Gaaawd damn it!
I need a fix soon so I'm on the prowl for something classic that will see me
through. Here's a few that have my backing so far....
Farfetch.com Henrik Vibskov backpack £171.00
Topshop Studded Leather Backpack £85.00
Tan canvas rucksack with leather straps,
£35, from Asos
Mr Porter £595
Deena & Ozzy heavy studded leather backpack
Minor thing- what does one do with arms and pincers when wearing a backpack?
It's all so carefree and (far too) organised with belongings strapped to your back. I'm
used to clutching endless items and now I've got jazz hands? This could be
comic.
