J.W Anderson For Topshop

NEWGEN winner for catwalk sponsorship spring summer 2013 is causing quite a frenzy pre LFW but also because he has collaborated with our fav high street store Topshop. Yipeeeeee *sky punch!

J.W Anderson has designed almost 100 pieces for the new collection that will land in store Friday 14th September...gasp, face palm, and dash for your dose of ‘tartan and paisley, zebra and tortoise prints’ immediately.

His androgynous style is apparent in signature pieces from the collection and also in the accessories which are fabulous and for all about town. Get a glimpse here and get on the twitter competition case, all you need to do is keep tabs on facts about the man himself and use #JWAxTS Must get me a goodie bag!

Somerset by Alice Temperley

Dadaaaaah the Somerset collection by Alice Temperley is here, her first and collaboration with high street buffs John Lewis and it’s pretty fabulous. Online and in store now this is a sixty piece project that is ever so Alice: beautifully British, chic, classic and embellished with motifs and print. There is something for every woman; key staples for many a look: capes, blouses, leathers (bohemian not biker), pony skin boots and lace dresses.

Quintessential British design meets British retailer, meets British beauty Lily Donaldson. The film for the collection, shot by Tom Craig, will give you a glimpse of the goooooood stuff.

Face Up Look Sharp

I AM THE...beauty-school drop out. Make-up artistry is not quite my bag, that said I do have my regime of 'slap on and go' down to a T.

Not quite blessed with the complexion of K-Mid, Kate Moss or most catwalk beauties? Well of course we're not, I certainly need a bit slash a lot of coverage to face the day.

There is something all-powerful about getting made up but if like most you’re normally doing so at the speed of light, whilst on a call, commute or from behind a desk using your laptop reflection then there is a need for trusty, fool proof products that you can rely on.

My four make-up essentials are listed below. Ladies I tell no lies, read between my lines and find face in these...

Try out this Chanel foundation if you like coverage and a natural translucent glow, it's not called PRO LUMIĂˆRE for nothing. I don't use powder so this gives a good even finish that lasts all day. True matt. Colour match is obv key here to avoid a Katie Price catastrophe, so go to your closest Chanel counter and test a few. This is my make-up splurge (£33) but absolutely worth it.

We're all familiar with the array of (Revlon, Garnier, L'Oreal, Yves Saint Laurent) concealers out there, and we're all suckers for a new range with that added formula or rainforest extract right? Well look no further because Bodyshop have the crème de la crème. Their concealer pencil or 'crayon correcteur ' comes in five shades and it's soft to the touch so you can apply and then smudge over panda eyes and blemishes before a little Chanel Lumier. Voila, flawless looking skin! Without a doubt my 'more than essential' make-up item, and it only costs £9 (no cover up!)

Got lavish lashes but need a little added volume? No drama. You'll never stroke far from this LancĂ´me mascara. HypnĂ´se Drama  is another diamond find that makes and wakes lazy eyes giving you that un-battable look!  The brush, a perfect s-shape, maximizes length and applies a black coating that fan kicks lashes evenly for a handsome £21. Gloop free!

Now for the finishing touches, a blusher to pink up your day and it’s the biggest steal of the lot at £2.50! This blusher duo from, wait for it, PRIMARK is just as good as any on the market. Yes that’s right our high street fav has come up trumps again, The Happy Couple, a blush and bronzer duo does the job.

Mother of all jeans...and leggings!

Holy double-vented comfort, stark, chic SEXY leg wear ladies! I am in love with the MOTHER of all jeans; this pair is my latest lust slash MUST MUST GET ME SOME (that is, get me some monies to pay the dollar bill which would cost me both pins to wangle: $250).

The style is called The Looker, the colour is called ‘A Day in Paradise’ (it’s all in the name, I am SOLD!)  and they are part of the MOTHER collection by denim vets Tim Kaeding and Lela Tillem. Only these will do for my summer wardrobe this year. Please, please magic me up a pair somehow, somebody...I could go on but I’ll let you have a little look...

MOTHER says ‘Our idea was to create a brand that captured the excitement of our own newfangled denims.’ Revolve Clothing say ‘Expect your favorite styles reinvented along with bell bottoms and not-too-skinny skinnies.’

Whilst I am really not loving the AZTEC look, nor do it wear the pastel shades paraded on the catwalk well, I am completely feeling the loud print trousers. Bold, bright, neon styles to work with flats and a white tee, or to sex up with some shmokin’ eyes and a few inches underfoot. Have a look at some of my favs, I have these gold ones from H&M and they work like a charm.

Gold skinnies from H&M £24.99

 MOSCHINO Pattern trouser £311.00

GIANNI VERSACE VINTAGE printed trouser, see farfetch from House Of Liza
London, United Kingdom: £428

Versace for H&M, Trousers, £39.99

Hawaiian Print Trousers by Stella McCartney at Selfridges Top of Form£665.00

Red Fashion Mutant – trousers €274.99
ALEXANDER MCQUEEN pattern leggings see farfetch Al Duca d'Aosta Mestre, Italy: £328

JUNYA WATANABE COMME DES GARÇONS Leather trouser, see farfetch from L’Eclaireur Paris, France

These looks are also fabulous, especially the pale blue print trousers. I am on board the big, quirky, STATEMENT print band wagon for sure. So long as it bypasses the over done, cheap, chavvy animal print look. Also if its floral, for me its got to be 'out there' so as to escape the mumsy/ monsoon/ Lispsy pot holes.

I'd happily wear the below for the rest of my days, LOVE IT ALL >>>
